We said we’d come back to planning, so here we are. Planning isn’t a one-time thing. If 20 press-ups were all it took to get you in shape for life, well, we’d presumably all be in great shape.
But it’s not enough, nor is it enough to take the time and effort to draw up your plan and then leave it to go cold. When we put together your Metis LifePlan, it doesn’t represent a conclusion in itself. What it represents is the beginning of your new direction and the means to keep you on track.
“Partnership is not a posture but a continuous process that grows stronger each year as we devote ourselves to common tasks.” – JFK
Plan, plan, plan
Between now and next year your life will change. In five years it’ll be different again. Ten years from now, who knows? Those changes could be big, small, good or bad, frequent or infrequent. What matters is that nobody is standing still. Our lives move on, they change and develop, they incorporate new jobs, new partners, even brand new human beings. If you were to start a family, for example, you’d suddenly be looking at a bunch of new goals and very different timelines. If the business were to go exceptionally well, you may find you’re able to do what you want a lot sooner than you expected.
Whatever happens your plan needs to match you at every step, like your shadow. Meeting regularly with your wealth planner to discuss any new developments is like servicing your car every year. You wouldn’t feel safe on the road knowing it hadn’t been checked for a long time, and you’ll feel more content knowing your plan matches your needs just as accurately now as it did on that first day.
Let us guide you
Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing ten tips to taking care of your future, so that you can focus on taking care of your business safe in the knowledge that it’s all under control.
If you can’t wait and want to get your hands on the guide in full now, you can download it for free here.
But let’s talk about you
We’d love to start that conversation with you, so why not set up a face-to-face meeting today?
There’s no commitment, it doesn’t cost anything to talk through your plans with us and we’ll always be honest – we’ll only get involved if you and Metis Ireland are a clear match, and where we all agree we can add real value to your life.
