I received an email last week from a fund manager inviting me to join a webinar. We get these types of ‘updates’ all the time, this particular one was called ‘What’s in Store for Markets for The Remainder of 2019’. Now, it could have come from any fund manager, who sent it doesn’t really matter, what matters is that these updates are a waste of time. How so?

Since we began our journey at Metis Ireland in early 2014, we’ve spent a lot of time and effort on marketing initiatives to make our brand synonymous with world class financial planning. We’ve engaged outside marketing experts to help us set out exactly what we do for our clients. It’s an ongoing challenge, because the reality is quite different from what most people think we do.
Disclaimer Metis Ireland Financial Planning Ltd t/a Metis Ireland is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland….
We like to refer to ourselves as a REAL Financial Planning firm here at Metis Ireland. We rarely use the term Financial Advisor because we believe that it doesn’t tell the full story of what we do every day or how we add value to our clients.
We firmly believe that once you have established a long term financial plan that is designed to allow you LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT, then you should implement an appropriate investment strategy that is diversified and invested in asset classes that have a long track record of providing the best outcomes i.e. equities and bonds. You then MUST #StickWithThePlan.
We wanted to reaffirm to our existing clients of our raison d’etre and tell the world, or at least Ireland, of our vision and mission to deliver Life Centred Financial Planning to all those who would embrace it.
It was such a thrill to launch our white paper “Making Better Decisions” in Dublin last week. We were blown away by the support for the event..
