Last Friday in July! You must know by now what that means. Our 23rd #MetisMorningRiverRun took place this morning and to be honest Friday couldn’t start any better. Upon arrival I heard people saying that Karl Daly has a pact with the devil when it comes to weather forecast so I don’t have to mention weather was very warm and sunny, leaving people with no excuses.

Our fun run as we call it, started from St. Michael Rowing Club at 7am sharp along the riverbank and it was followed by lots of chat and sunny spells. The run has become part of people’s calendar at this stage, having done 23 of them now.
As everyone knows we at Metis Ireland are trying to support Local Businesses and add something different to the run event each month so we were delighted to host John Lalor from Revive Active this morning and listen to his talk about their range of health supplement drinks.
Revive Active is a very progressive company with a pretty unique product that many people may be familiar with so it was an interesting segment for the morning. Thank you for coming all the way from Galway John!!

Another interesting thing this morning, aside from all the croissants, tea and coffee on offer after the run was a surprise diploma for our very own Gerard Brinn. Gerard is one of our biggest supporters and even though he is flying to Seattle ( from Dublin) today, he was there this morning, happy, motivated and ready for 5K.

That is the best part of #MetisMorningRiverRun, bringing together all that positive energy and motivation and sharing it with others after the run.

Our biggest reward for what we do is positive feedback which  we get in abundance each time after the run, all the pictures you share on Social Media and the fact you are bringing your #MetisMorningRiverRun T-shirt on your holidays means that you really care.
We are encouraging people to do this and send us a picture from your holiday location, wearing the shirt and we will share on social media.

That actually happened this morning, when Graham and Karen Burns surprised us with a picture from London, we couldn’t be happier. They looked happy too but we know the smiles were fake because they really wanted to be with US!

That just confirms that hard work and love towards your work pay off, don’t you agree?
