On this beautiful sunny and mild Friday morning ( just as Karl ordered) we had our August #MetisMorningRiverRun.
Rocking up to Saint Michael’s Rowing Club we gathered at the usual time of 6:55 and were delighted to see some new faces running with us  for the first time!!

It has been a great Summer and this was a great opportunity to get a bit of exercise in as we ease ourselves back to normality.
Just think about it…the next run will be end of September and by then the summer will be but a distant memory and the mornings a little darker.
We finished our run back at SMRC for Tea, Coffee, Pastries and Oatcakes prepared specially for the morning by the lovely Eileen Reeves. I can tell you there wasn’t one left on the plate once the word spread.

Today we presented our new monthly recognition framed certificate (only 2nd one) to Graham and Karen Burns who did the July #MetisMorningRiverRun along the Thames in London sporting their T Shirts. Unfortunately we had to make do with just Graham as his lovely wife couldn’t make it BUT he did say some very nice things about our Run which kinda made up for it (You know we’re joking Graham).

Andy Cunneen couldn’t join us today but that didn’t stop him from doing 5K this morning in Lahinch donning our #MetisMorningRiverRun T-shirt. Thank you for your support Andy we’re lucky to have you and we’ll see you and your gang at home next month.
Remember if you do anything “unusual” during the month BUT wearing your shirt send us on the details and we can include you in the running (excuse the pun) for this highly coveted prize!!!

Thank you and well done to everyone who joined us this morning. We know how hard it is to jump out of bed when that alarm goes off!!
Hope you are all still full of energy and positive vibes from this morning and we are delighted you kick-started your weekend with us!

If you would like to join our monthly #MetisMorningRiverRun, please contact Martina on mhnatysyn@metisireland.ie and I will add you to the mailing list.

See you all next month….
