Last Friday we at Metis Ireland had our long-anticipated End of Quarter Team Building Event.

Our day started with our Monthly Sales Meeting, followed by a Team Workshop where we were all involved in creating something great (watch this space… Metis Ireland have some amazing team led plans to unveil in the not so distant future!).

I can tell you that something incredible happens when people work in teams, things change when everyone on the team is equally invested in the overall goal. You find yourself working faster and finding great ideas more easily. The end result was unreal.

As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; we can do so much together.”

After our very interesting and productive morning, we continued the day with an inspiring lecture from our special guest Joe O’Connor, who talked to us about his latest blog: Living Longer and Healthier in the Blue Zones.

Thank you to Joe who made the time to speak with us in the middle of a busy schedule.

Full of positive energy, we travelled out to Castletroy for lunch in the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel.

But we weren’t finished yet! Following our lunch, we drove out to Killaloe for the biggest part of the day; climbing Moylussa. For those who haven’t been, Moylussa is a mountain in the Slieve Bernagh range in western Ireland, and the highest point in County Clare at 532 meters (1,745 ft) and is well worth a visit.

The weather was great, no rain on the day and not too warm. Thanks to Joe’s earlier talk we were all super motivated and ready to go. The hike was filled with lots of chat, laughter and protein chocolates and before we knew it, we were already on top of Moylussa.

What a view!

Well done to everyone.

Some of us even ran down.

Truly a wonderful, productive and fun day, and still there was more to come… after a quick trip home to shower and change we all met up again in The Tap House in Castletroy for drinks before strolling over to the fabulous Tuscany Bistro for a dinner we were all very hungry and excited for! As always, Tuscany delivered; great food, great cocktails, great service and a wonderful atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone once again for amazing night, food and great service. The night of celebration did continue after dinner,  but probably best not to go into detail about what happened after dark!!

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.
